Jet2 flight makes emergency landing on way to Edinburgh after passenger takes unwell

A plane declared a mid-flight emergency while travelling to Edinburgh today after a passenger required medical help.

A Jet2 flight from Alicante to Edinburgh issued a 7700 alert while travelling over the Scottish Borders this afternoon.

The plane departed from the Spanish airport at 2:04pm and landed at 3.42pm.

A spokesperson for Jet2 told the Daily Record: “Flight LS776 from Alicante to Edinburgh has requested medical assistance upon landing, due to a customer requiring medical attention”.
