A Jet2 flight from Edinburgh Airport has been forced to turn around after declaring a mid-air emergency, the Scottish Sun reports.
The Jet2 plane - flying to Tenerife - squawked shortly before 10am while flying over Northern Ireland.
Aviation Twitter account CD's Aviation tweeted:
" #Squawk7700 Jet2 flight #LS727 from Edinburgh to Tenerife has declared a #GeneralEmergency over Northern Ireland"
The Boeing 737, which left Edinburgh at 9.10am, has looped around and has diverted towards Belfast.
A spokesperson for Jet2 told Edinburgh Live: “Flight LS727 from Edinburgh to Tenerife has diverted to Belfast International, due to a customer requiring medical attention”.
