Jet2 flight forced to divert due to 'disruptive' behaviour of passenger

A Jet2 flight bound for Manchester was forced to divert to Cork due to a disruptive passenger.

The passenger jet from Fuerteventura landed at Cork Airport after the behaviour of a woman, who was travelling with her partner and their child, became too much for the crew to handle.

The woman, in her 30s, was arrested as Airport Police and Fire Service met the plane after it made its unexpected stop on the runway in Cork.

The flight landed safely in Manchester - Gardai in Togher are expected to liaise with their counterparts in Manchester as the investigation into the incident continues.
