Jet2 currently has £100pp off Christmas market breaks including Berlin and Cologne

Christmas in 2020 wasn't as festive as we'd hoped, from Christmas markets being cancelled to Boris Johnson doing a U-turn on rules in England.

However, with Covid vaccine roll outs there's light at the end of the tunnel - and while March feels quite early to get excited about Christmas, there are deals to be had!

In fact, Jet2holidays currently has a discount of £100pp off all city breaks abroad - including the Christmas markets season.

We're talking some classic festive hotspots including Berlin, Cologne and Prague, not to mention the travel firm has also launched new offerings for those who want to check out Strasbourg's iconic markets.

When we took a look, we found plenty of three- and four-night breaks under £350pp with the discount applied, including some of the most popular festive destinations.

For example, there are three-night breaks to Berlin from £332pp (flying from Birmingham), four-night breaks to Cologne from £268pp (flying from Manchester), and three-night breaks to Prague from £284pp (flying from the East Midlands, or £285pp from Manchester).

All prices were searched for based on two adults sharing a room and travelling in the first two weeks of December.

You'll need to book by March 31 when the sale with discounts of £100pp ends but you can already secure packages with a £60pp deposit. Find out more on jet2holidays.com.

It's worth noting that the sale applies on all holiday packages, not just Christmas markets one in case you are looking to plan some trips abroad.

Of course we don't yet know what the travel landscape could look like come winter, so if you book now you do so at your own risk.

Still, there is hope for holidaymakers. For a start, Boris Johnson has said that England's lockdown roadmap could see foreign travel resume from May 17, subject to a review by the government's Global Travel Taskforce in April.
