Jet2.com flight forced to divert and land in Belfast

A flight bound for Spain was forced to divert mid-flight and land in Belfast on Friday morning.

The Jet2.com LS727 Edinburgh to Tenerife flight was scheduled to leave at 9.10am in the morning, however, a passenger took ill and the pilot was forced to divert.

It landed at Belfast International Airport.

A Jet2.com spokesperson said: "Flight LS727 from Edinburgh to Tenerife has diverted to Belfast International, due to a customer requiring medical attention."
