Jet2 announces when flights will begin again

Airline Jet2 have announced they will resume flights in June.

In an update on the airline's response to the coronavirus pandemic, Jet2, a main holiday provider from multiple Scottish airports, announced that all flights due to run before June 17 will not go ahead.

Last month the airline cancelled all flights to destinations including France and Spain.

In a statement a Jet2 spokesperson said: “We will be contacting all affected costumers to discuss their options, one of which is rebooking to a later date.

“We are contacting costumers and and dealing with all existing queries in departure date order, which we believe is the fairest way to handle this.

“The number of calls we have been receiving is unprecedented, so you do not need to make contact with us.

“Please do bear with us, and we thank costumers in advance for their loyalty, understanding and patience.”

They added: “Although these are difficult times for everyone, the sun will come out again.

“When it does, our award-winning teams will be there to take costumers on holiday – a well-deserved package-holiday they can trust – once again.”
