Jet2 announce more Leeds flights to holiday favourite - just weeks after cancelled Ryanair routes

Sun-seekers in Yorkshire will be able to take advantage of more flights from Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) to the Canary Islands in the coming months.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are laying on more than 10,000 extra seats to both Fuerteventura and Lanzarote throughout late 2019 and into 2020.

The move from the Leeds-based airline comes just a matter of weeks after Ryanair decided to scrap six routes from LBA, including flights to Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria.

However, the increase in the number of Jet2 flights means that families will be able to take advantage of more flights to the Spanish islands during the February and May half terms, as well as the Easter holidays.

Even during winter months, the average high temperatures in the Canary Islands rarely drop below 20°C and the amazing beaches offer the perfect respite from the bitterly cold British winter.

A new weekly Jet2 service will fly to Fuerteventura every Thursday between February 13 and May 14, 2020. There will also be another weekly service to Lanzarote every Friday between November 12 and December 13, 2019.
