President Donald Trump came back to the White House after a tough trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Instead of going to sleep, the 79-year-old president started posting heavily on Truth Social early Friday morning.
Between 12:40 AM and 1:30 AM, he made over 70 posts and reposts, filling his feed with MAGA-friendly content. That’s more than one post every minute for 50 minutes straight. Many of the posts appeared twice in a row on his feed. The late-night posting spree came after what seemed like a difficult time for the president in Davos.
While at the World Economic Forum, President Trump reportedly backed down on his earlier plans to take control of Greenland. According to The Daily Beast, several major allies also reportedly snubbed him as he tried to launch what was called a multibillion-dollar peace effort. World leaders even skipped his “Board of Peace” signing ceremony.
Trump’s TikTok deal marks a major shift from his 2020 ban attempt
The biggest news from the early morning posts was President Trump’s claim that he personally helped save TikTok. The president announced that the Chinese company will now operate in the U.S. under a joint venture that is majority American-owned. Republican megadonor Larry Ellison’s company, Oracle, will hold a 15 percent stake in TikTok U.S.
Ellison, who is a close friend of President Trump, will lead Oracle’s efforts to “retrain” TikTok’s algorithm. This is a big change from 2020, when the president tried to ban TikTok completely over national security concerns. However, he used the Chinese-owned app during his 2024 election campaign to reach younger voters.

President Trump celebrated the deal on Truth Social. “It will now be owned by a group of Great American Patriots and Investors, the Biggest in the World, and will be an important Voice,” he wrote. He added, “I only hope that long into the future I will be remembered by those who use and love TikTok.”
The president’s feed included many other things beyond the TikTok news. He shared a trailer for his wife Melania’s Amazon documentary and reposted video clips from Fox News and Joe Rogan’s podcast. He also posted clips featuring Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and uploaded PDF printouts of a NewsMax cover story about him from December. European diplomats have been closely watching what’s really happening with Greenland, trying to understand the president’s actual intentions.
The posting spree also included attacks on political opponents like California Governor Gavin Newsom, Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar, and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. His feed was filled with posts claiming success with the American economy, despite polls suggesting otherwise.
The election fraud claims returned too, with repeated posts about the 2020 election being stolen. Reports suggest the president wants to replace the UN with his Board of Peace initiative. One post he shared even had a typo, reading “American is back!!!” instead of “America is back!!!”
