Jesy Nelson has vowed to stay single as she launches her solo career - and maybe for a bit longer after that.
The 30-year-old singer has admitted that being single has multiple benefits, least of all the joy of waking up and not worrying about anyone else.
But her main reason for her self-imposed romance ban is so she can make sure her debut as a solo artist is as impactful as possible.
She told The Guardian : “Part of me feels I should be single for ever because in relationships you have to sacrifice so much.
“I like waking up and knowing this day is just for me and I don’t need to worry about anyone but me. I’m really not looking for a relationship any more.”

Jesy added she is focusing on her career and said: “I feel you only get one shot to make your impact as a solo artist, so I’m going all guns blazing.
"I don’t want people to be, ‘Oh, that’s nice,’ or ‘I expected her to do that.’ I want people to be, ‘F*** my life, she’s here!’”

The Romford babe left Little Mix in December after nine years, blaming the toll being in the group took on her mental health.
In her award-winning 2019 BBC documentary Odd One Out, she bravely revealed that the abuse she suffered on social media got so bad she attempted to take her own life.
After leaving Little Mix, Jesy signed a solo record deal with Polydor Records and her debut single will arrive in the autumn.
Jesy's new interview is published just days after she was photographed in Essex with her ex-boyfriend Harry James, who she dated for 16 months until 2018.
In the pictures, published by the Mail Online, Jesy and the music video producer were dressed casually as they popped to the shops.
A rep for the star told the paper that the pair - who share custody of her dog Reggie - are just friends.

In March fans wondered if they had reunited after both appeared to post pictures from the same restaurant.
Jesy didn't speak about Harry to the the newspaper, but she did tell the Guardian that one of her new songs, Boyz, is not about her most recent ex, Our Girl star Sean Sagar.
She said that the relationship was the first time she's felt she "wasn't in control" as she was "madly in love".

Jesy also dated Love Island star Chris Hughes.
Little Mix was formed of Jesy, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards on the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011.
The remaining girls recently announced their first new album as a trio.
