Jesy Nelson sings about finding love again weeks after split from Chris Hughes

Jesy Nelson made an interesting song choice when she took to Instagram to flex her vocal chords.

The Little Mix star, 27, brought a tear to the eye with her rendition of Sinead Harnett's Be The One - about finding new love after heartbreak.

This comes shortly after Jesy and Chris Hughes' romance came to a close after a year a half together.

The song features lyrics about moving on from the past and finding fresh romance.

One line reads: "The f*****s before, but you're different, you're good to the bone...I wanna be the one."

Jesy, sat cross-legged on a table as she sang, wrote: "Be The One.

"Absolutely obsessed with this song and this woman @sineadharnett so I thought I'd give it a go.

"Thank you @sineadharnett for playing the piano."

Jesy and Chris were isolating separately amid the coronavirus outbreak when news of their split broke.

Chris has since told that his "anxiety" has been giving him sleepless nights.

He asked fans: "How have I not slept?

"My sleep's been so bad the last few weeks all down to my anxiety giving me the worst chest pains.

"Waking up every time I even slightly doze off panicking thinking I'm about the have a heart attack. The insomnia is so real."
