Jesy Nelson sends message to fans days after quitting Little Mix

Jesy Nelson has sent a thank you message to fans days after quitting Little Mix.

The 29-year-old announced her departure from the band on Monday with an Instagram post.

Jesy had already stepped back from the girl group, which found fame on The X Factor, last month for 'private medical reasons'.

She said in her announcement that she felt like the "luckiest girl in the world" following Little Mix's success but being in the band had affected her mental health.

On Thursday, the singer broke her social media silence to send a message to her loyal fanbase.

Posting on her Instagram Stories, Jesy wrote: "I just want to say thank you so much to everyone of you that has shown me so much love and support over the past few days.

"Some of your messages have made me feel so emotional and I appreciate it so much."

She ended the note with "Love you all" alongside a red heart emoji.

Jesy's band mates Jade, Perrie, and Leigh-Anne also shared the news of the exit to their fans on their official Twitter page and vowed to carry on as a trio.

Fans and fellow celebrities have been rallying around with messages of support and love for Jesy since her announcement.
