Jesy Nelson's solo career 'in good place' as she teases new music in studio

Jesy Nelson is apparently "in a good place" as she makes plans to launch her solo career after leaving Little Mix last year.

The 29-year-old singer quit the girl band after claiming that her mental health was being affected and has since kept a reasonably low profile.

Fans of Jesy are feeling excited that there will news of her return to the pop scene and her friend Ella Henderson, a fellow X Factor alumni, has shared an update about where she thinks Jesy is with her music at the moment.

Ella appeared on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp on Wednesday morning and teased that Jesy had "exciting" plans and that it may not be too long before she shares new music with her fans.

Speaking to Sian Welby, Ella revealed that she has been in regular contact with Jesy since she quit Little Mix.

Sian asked Ella: "I know Ella that you’re a good friend of hers, do you reckon, as a friend, do you reckon we might be seeing some stuff from her?"

Ella replied: "I hope so. I hear good things and I've been chatting away to her, and I hear really good, exciting things.."

Speaking about Jesy's mental health, which was what she cited as a driving factor for leaving the girl group, Ella said: "She's in a good place and that's the main thing."

Fans have been hoping there is good news to come after it emerged the singer had signed a deal with the global management firm YMU amid weeks of speculation about her musical future.

Jesy has made no secret of returning to the recording studio as she has been spotted at the venue as well as sharing Instagram stories from behind the scenes.
