Jesy Nelson pines for summer as she posts selfie amid talk of solo career

Former Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson can't wait for the summer months to come.

On Tuesday, Jesy shared a stunning selfie on her Instagram telling her beloved 7.7million followers she is ready for the warmer weather.

Posing for the camera, she wrote: "Can it just be summer already."

Along with more sunshine, Jesy has plenty to look forward to.

The 29-year-old pop star has hinted to fans that she is going to release her own music after splitting from the girlband, which consists of Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, in December.

Tuesday's cryptic post quickly gathered attention from her fans, with some certain it was her way of teasing a summer soundtrack.

One wrote: "If summer includes you dropping new music then I'll teleport to then right now."

Jesy liked the comment, which suggests she is secretly working on something.

"Can you just leak your new song already?" another begged.

Others complimented the star's appearance, with a fan sharing: "You're absolutely stunning! What a queen!"

A third gushed: "Your curls ugh you're stunning."

In recent days, Jesy's former Little Mix pals spoke about sisterhood as they embark on a new journey as a trio.

After Jesy's departure, they touched on how they will branch out this year as it's a 'new dawn' for the pop group.

Jade explained to GLAMOUR: "I'm not saying that we're codependent, but we do heavily rely on each other, so it's been healthy to take a step back and think, 'What do I want?'"

She continued: "As we come together and work together this year, we'll have an even better and healthier relationship with that perspective.

"This time's taught me that I am still figuring out who I am, too... It's beautiful that we're still a group, but we want to help push each other to do our own thing, too."

"It's like a new dawn of Little Mix."

Leigh-Anne described the girls as 'sisters', adding: "It's never been an option to not be together and we've always known that we are sisters."
