Jesy Nelson is 'so happy' and enjoying 'simple things' after Chris Hughes split

Newly-single Jesy Nelson seemed to take a jab at her ex Chris Hughes on Instagram.

The pop diva pulled the plug on their 16-month romance over the phone while they isolated separately.

As she settled into single life, the Little Mix star moved her BFF Charlotte Driver in for the lockdown period.

In a cryptic post, the singer said the simple things make the heart happy after her recent split.

This appeared to be a thinly-veiled dig at her ex, just days after his social media meltdown.

However, it could also be Jesy finding happiness in the simple ways of life rather than the fast-life of a celebrity amid the lockdown.

She wrote: "We got some fresh air today and it made us feel so happy. We danced in the woods and played our favourite songs!

"Sometimes it’s the simple things that make your heart happy."

Jesy has appeared happier than ever since the break up as she has slipped into her sexiest ensembles.

And she's never looked hotter than when she made the trip to Sainsbury's in unzipped jeans.

On the other side of the break up, Chris has been battling with insomnia as he struggled to get a wink of sleep in the lockdown.

The Love Island hunk admitted his life was a "s*** storm" since his relationship crumbled.

He tweeted: "I closed my twitter for a week cus my life was a s**t storm and now I've lost 500k followers lol.

"Ah it’s just jumped back up 250k wtf. Come on where’s the rest of ya?

"This is so weird."
