Jessie Ware reveals 'annoying' holiday obsession which frustrates family and friends

Jessie Ware's holiday obsession really "annoys" her family and friends.

The singer is very well travelled, having gone on a lot of foreign holidays with her parents when she was growing up, and it is something she is keen to do the same with her kids.

But there is one part of her holiday that winds up everyone she travels with - her need to find the best places to eat.

"I like to get recommendations - I’m kind of obsessed with it, to the point where it’s very annoying for the people who go on holiday with me," she told the Press Association news agency.

Jessie is keen for her three kids - who she has with her husband Sam Burrows - to experience the world as much as possible, just like she did when she was growing up.

"I’m excited about them going places and experiencing things like mum showed us when we were younger," Jessie said.

"In the school holidays we’d always go abroad somewhere. It was always something we’d look forward to, our holidays together, because it was always so varied – we’d always try different places.

"And then in the summer holidays it was always Skopelos in Greece, so there was always that staple place we always returned to."

Jessie and her mum Lennie are very close, presenting their podcast Table Manners together and the duo share a unique passion for travel.

Lennie has found it tough during the coronavirus pandemic as she has been unable to head abroad.

She added: "I just love travel. I think it’s the thing I’ve missed most about this whole pandemic, it’s really important to me.

"I think they just learn so many different things. It’s an important part of life, learning about the world."

The pair travel a lot for both work and leisure and have very fond memories of heading abroad.

Jessie explained how they first headed to New York for fun trips away, and they soon started heading there for Jessie's shows.

"Then it proceeded to mum flying out to see a show of mine when I started performing there as an artist, and that was always fun. I love it – she treated it like she was just popping to Manchester," she said.

Jessie and Lennie Ware have partnered with the British Airways American Express® Premium Plus Card to celebrate the Companion Voucher benefit which could entitle you to a second seat for a companion when making a Reward Flight booking. For more information, search BA Amex.
