EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace left soap fans shocked this week as she posted a racy comment on her Albert Square co-star Max Bowden's Instagram picture.
Jessie, who plays gobby character Kat Slater, commented on a throwback snap posted by Max, who plays Ben Mitchell in the soap.
In the image posted on Max's account, the 26-year-old can be seen looking dapper in a suit, finished with a waistcoat and tie at the National Television Awards two years ago.
Alongside the snap, he wrote: "Been a lifetime since this photo #ntas."
And 49-year-old Jessie made a crude remark under the pic.
She wrote jokingly: "Remember… if you need a m***e to cry on…. I’m yer gal [winking emoji]."
And many fans couldn't believe what they were seeing.
One fan commented: "I am speechless and laughing at the same time xxxx I love the love and banter between eastenders cast it makes me smile."
Another wrote: "only her."
While one added: "omg."
And one said: "lol I just got this omg xxxxx."
While fans were quick to jump on Jessie's comment, the actor himself is yet to respond to her remark.
Fans of EastEnders were overjoyed in January when Max's character Ben Mitchell finally got engaged to his onscreen partner Callum Highway.
Viewers of the show were eventually able to see the pair tie the knot on Tuesday as the pair acted out a romantic ceremony.
It's not always been smiles and romance for the characters though.
The pair's relationship has been covered by a cloud of lies and crime since they first shared a kiss back in 2019.
But now it remains to be seen whether they can share their happy ever after.
