Jessie Lee Daniels dead: Force MD's star who sang Tender Love dies at 57

Jessie Lee Daniels - who found fame in Force MDs has died at the age of 57.

The musician's management team confirmed the news, and the band paid tribute to him on Facebook.

“He ate, sleep [sic] and breathe music everyday,” the post began.

“Please put a heart up for him. He was loved!!!!!!!!!! TO the family, friends and fans today we lost a real talent. Our condolences goes out to his siblings, kids and the Force MDs."

The post was illustrated with several snaps of Jessie including him on stage and others of him posing with his bandmates for album covers.

Fans of the star took to the comments to share their heartbreak at learning of the star's death.

One penned: "WOW…My Condolences.. Rest In Peace Jessie .. You Surely will be missed."

A second added: "Rip Jesse!! Wow, I was just playing my favorite song tears on YouTube..my condolences."

More joined in: "your talent won't be forgotten. Condolences to your family and friends" and "My sincere condolences for the entire “Force MD Family” and for all who loved Jessie. May his spirit abide in eternal peace."

Force M.D were an R&B vocal group formed in Staten Island, New York in 1981.

The group had six studio albums together and their last release was in 2000.

The band was originally named The L.D.s, and then became the Force MCs, before deciding to go by Force MDs.

The name stands for which stood for Musical Diversity.

The group was composed of brothers Stevie D., Antoine "T.C.D." Lundy, and Rodney "Khalil" Lundy, along with their uncle - Jessie.

Later, "Trisco" Pearson and Charles "Mercury" Nelson joined the group.

Sadly, Jessie is not the first member of the band to die.

Nelson suffered a fatal heart attack in 1995 and in 1998, Antoine Lundy died of Lou Gehrig's disease.
