Jessie J thanks fans for support after revealing her heartbreaking miscarriage

Singer Jessie J has thanked her fans for support after she revealed she'd recently experienced a miscarriage.

The Price Tag and Super Bass singer shared that she became pregnant after planning to have a baby as a single woman, as it was something she'd always wanted, but sadly, after her third scan doctors discovered there was no heartbeat.

Ahead of a show in LA she posted on Instagram: "Yesterday morning I was laughing with a friend saying “seriously though how am I going to get through my gig in LA tomorrow night without telling the whole audience I am pregnant. By yesterday afternoon I was dreading the thought of getting through the gig without breaking down…

"After going for my 3rd scan and being told there was no longer a heartbeat this morning. I feel like I have no control of my emotions. I may regret posting this. I may not. I actually don’t know. What I do know is that I want to sing tonight. Not because Im avoiding the grief or the process, but because I know singing tonight will help me."

Following her second live performance in just two years Jessie later added: "Your overwhelming instant out pour (sic) of love is felt, received and appreciated beyond measure. And has got me out of bed this morning. Thank you."

The singer has previously spoken out about her desire to have children, but suffers from adenomyosis, a condition where the tissue that normally lines the womb starts to grow within the muscular wall of the womb. It is linked to an increased risk of miscarriage and premature birth.
