The Voice Kids star Jessie J says she “believes in miracles” and hopes to start a family, after doctors warned her that she might never be able to conceive naturally.
The 31-year-old singer, who dates Magic Mike hunk Channing Tatum, admits she is feeling “broody” since becoming a mentor on the show.
In November, Jessie spoke candidly on stage about the pain of being told in her 20s that she might not be able to have children naturally.
“I still believe in miracles,” she says now. “And as women know, it sometimes doesn’t just happen, it’s a process. The reason I spoke about it before wasn’t for sympathy and it still isn’t, it’s to just be open about it.”
She adds that being around so many children on the ITV show is a positive thing for her. “The kids on this show are so inspiring and I feel so lucky to be on the show.”
Jessie and Channing aren’t your typical showbiz couple. They had their first date in October at a crazy golf course.
And after losing a competitive game of Jenga, Jessie made Channing post this gratuitous naked shower picture as his forfeit.
“All I’ll say is I’m glad I didn’t lose,” giggled Jessie yesterday.
The Voice Kids returns to ITV at 8pm on Saturday.
