Jessica Simpson sparks huge fallout - by calling her bottle of breastmilk 'success'

With three kids under her belt, Jessica Simpson is no parenting novice.

The former popstar welcomed a little girl named Birdie Mae Johnson into the world in March - a baby sister for six-year-old daughter Maxwell and five-year-old son Ace.

However, it looks like she's opened a can of worms with her most recent Instagram post.

Amidst all the chaos of having a newborn in the house, Jessica has managed to do some expressing, and she told her fans about it with a picture and caption which have sparked fury.

She uploaded a picture of a bottle with 150ml of breast milk and wrote "This is what success feels like".

Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria live tweets heartbreaking 'miscarriage' as it happens

First to comment was fellow celeb mum, Hilary Duff who responded: "Dang girl! Get itttt!"

Not everyone was as praising as Hilary though.

One mum called Diane quickly hit back with: "Everyone does what they need to do to feed their baby.

"Just remember it's not failure if you don't pump or breastfeed. It's only failure if you don't feed your baby anything at all. #fedisbest"

Other mums agreed with this, with one adding: "As a mum who was hung up on my inability to successfully breastfeed I appreciated your words. Thank you."

However, Diane's comment seemed to anger people even more than Jessica's post.

One woman fumed: "You just had to be angry and comment. I hate women like you, never allow women to be proud of breastfeeding and pumping."

Strong words there - and she wasn't alone.

"So because some can’t nurse or pump we who can shouldn't be proud of the work we have put in to get this liquid gold?" said another mum.

"I'm all for fed is best, but I would never act as if another woman shouldn't be proud or excited about her nursing or pumping journey.

"I clap for moms who formula feed. I'd NEVER tell them their caption of a can of formula was crappy because I can nurse and they can't … calling her caption 'crappy' is pretty judgemental."

Sheesh - we hope Jessica doesn't get notified every time someone comments on a post.
