Jessica Simpson channels Legally Blonde in eye-poppingly pink outfit

Jessica Simpson oozed with confidence as she donned a hot pink outfit to promote her new book.

The 39-year-old blonde bombshell, who found her fame as a pop starlet during the 00s, is still channelling the Noughties vibe with pink sunglasses and enormous silver hoops.

Her head-to-toe hot pink getup was very much the Y2K dream as she proudly walked through New York with a Legally Blonde flair, and pink fur trim coat to match.

She also showed off her disappearing waistline in the cinched-in outfit after proudly losing seven stone within the last year.

Jessica, who now has three children with husband Eric Johnson, was heading out of her hotel to promote her new memoir Open Book, which was released earlier this month.

The bare-all account by the singer-turned-designer offers a candid portrait of her life from childhood to stardom.

In the book, she makes explosive revelations about experiencing sexual abuse as a child, struggling with alcoholism and past relationships.

On Monday 3, her ex-husband Nick Lachey finally voiced his opinions on Jessica's shocking book and admitted that he hasn’t read the memoir even though it details things from their marriage.

Jessica has been doing the rounds in promoting her intimate autobiography, and has also announced a US book tour, which began today in New York.

On her social media today she also opened up about what it meant to her, finally having the book launched.

“This is one of the best days of my life because I get to share my truth with you,” she began in the touching message,

“By accepting and leading with our mistakes, we show ourselves that we are bigger than the monsters and stronger than our fears. This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine. I challenge you to do the same, and use my story as inspiration to open your own book.”
