Jessica Naz explains how Tottenham Women maintained their 100% start to WSL season

Tottenham Women sit level on points at the top of the Women's Super League after a perfect start to the season, with three wins in as many games.

On a weekend when the Tottenham men's team suffered a 3-1 defeat against their north London rivals, the women continued their success with another win.

Rehanne Skinner's side have won all of their opening games to the season, with victories against Birmingham, Man City, and most recently, Reading.

Despite having slightly less possession than their opponents, the Lilywhites had 22 shots throughout the game, with the visitors having just seven and a late goal saw the north London side come out on top.

Jessica Naz, who turned 21 ahead of the game on Sunday, scored the winning goal which came in the 85th minute and explained how hard the team worked to get the result.

"Great team performance, we stuck to it. Kept going until the end, creating chances," she said in a post-match interview with the club.

"We always believe and just keep going. We just know if we keep creating chances, one of them will go in. We're building every game, showing character, fighting until the end and I think we have more to come."

Tottenham's win comes before a difficult week as they travel to Meadow Park on Wednesday for a North London Derby in the Women's FA Cup.

Molly Bartrip described how great it felt to get the win that takes them level on points with Arsenal, meaning the fixture between them should be a good battle.

"The girls are amazing and I genuinely can't fault it," she said in her post-match interview. "Proud moment for us...it was a graft today...they made it difficult for us.

"Perfect start to the season, that's momentum to keep going...next game, next game, we can only continue that."

Spurs suffered a heavy defeat against Jonas Eidevall's side when they lost 4-0 in a North London Derby friendly and they will be hoping to get more from their cup game against them in the week.

Arsenal Women are also yet to drop points this season and beat Man City 5-0 in their most recent fixture, meaning both sides will have some confidence going into the match.

Skinner's side will then have just a short break before returning to the Women's Super League and travelling north to play Leicester, where they will hope to continue their successful run of victories.
