Leeds United will tour Australia for the second time in three years as they return to the country they travelled to before their promotion-winning centenary season in 2019/20. The Whites faced Premier League opponents in Manchester United last time and although their bitter rivals are also going Down Under this summer, Leeds will face Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Brisbane Roar.
The Whites will hope that the Palace and Villa fixtures remain all Premier League affairs as they seek to remain in the division in the final games of the season. Speaking about the tour, Leeds manager Jesse Marsch stated that he was 'looking forward' to his first pre-season tour with the Whites.
"It’s not only a great opportunity for Leeds to play three exciting games in front of our fans Down Under, it’s also a great opportunity to visit a wonderful country which I know loves their sport and is extremely knowledgeable about football," Marsch said. "This will be our club’s third playing trip to Australia and I’m very much looking forward to taking the team back for what will be an important part of our preparations for the 2022/23 season."

The tour will come in the midst of the summer period where Marsch will be attempting to bring more of his tactical philosophy to bear in the Whites' play. His challenge will be to do that alongside fitting in with modern top level football's need for increasing commercial revenues with pre-season tours.
