Manchester United's Jesse Lingard has explained his reaction to criticism he received from his own supporters following the 5-0 hammering by Liverpool on Sunday.
Three goals from Mohamed Salah plus strikes from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota saw Jurgen Klopp's side dominate at Old Trafford.
While Liverpool were fluid and ruthless in attack, United served up a disastrous defensive display, with the team lacking any cohesion and a number of key players at the back making routine mistakes.
Some United fans decided to leave Old Trafford with the score at 4-0 at half time, while some decided to stay and support the team until the end of the game.

Others directed some dissatisfaction at the players warming up and a video of Lingard emerged following the game of him interacting with a supporter.
The United player, who was an unused substitute, has taken to Twitter to explain what happened.
"It wasnt abuse!," Lingard said. "He said 'work harder' like im not already doing that day in day out! and I said 'im not even on the pitch' end of!!"
Lingard has struggled to get minutes for the Red Devils this season, with Solskjaer preferring a number of attacking players following the arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho in the summer.
The England international spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United and impressed. He was linked with a permanent move to the London Stadium in the summer and has recently been mentioned as possible target for Newcastle United.
