KEIRAN Dickson - the fourth man to be charged over an alleged home invasion and shooting at Jesmond last month - has been refused bail in Newcastle Local Court.
Mr Dickson, 32, was arrested at Shortland on Wednesday and charged with shoot at with intent to murder and aggravated break and enter after two men allegedly stormed an apartment on Newcastle Road on January 14.
Mr Dickson, who was represented by solicitor Lauren O'Brien, did not enter any pleas or apply for bail and it was refused. The matter was adjourned until April 15.
Police say two men went to the apartment about 8.10pm and spoke with a 36-year-old man.
Police allege the pair forced their way into the home and threatened the man with a fire extinguisher.
The man fled to a nearby home in William Street, but was allegedly followed by the two men before one of them discharged a firearm at him.
As well as Mr Dickson, detectives have charged Riccardo Togo, Brayden Bates and William Taylor, all 19, over the alleged home invasion shooting.
The trio remain behind bars until April.
