Jesmond Dene House wins award from The Good Hotel Guide

A luxury Newcastle hotel is delighted to win another award and credits the staff's passion and dedication for its success.

Jesmond Dene House is a winner of The Good Hotel Guide Editor’s Choice 2023 awards and the announcement coincides with the publication of the 46th edition of the prestigious guide. The 40-bedroom venue, whose executive head chef is MasterChef The Professionals finalist Danny Parker, already has several accolades under its belt, including AA Rosettes and Red Stars.

It also featured in the 2022 edition of the Good Hotel Guide which is out to highlight the best luxurious hotels, boutique city hotels and family hotels plus B&Bs around the country. The new edition was published on Monday.

Christina Stephenson, the hotel's sales, marketing and events manager, welcomed the latest accolade, in the guide's cities and town category, and said: "It’s always a delight when we win awards at Jesmond Dene House. It's such an honour to be nominated and a huge privilege to win."

She added: "Our Good Hotel Guide Editor’s Choice 2023 award will take pride of place, along with our other trophies and is, once again, a credit to the passion and dedication of the whole hotel team." The guide's chief executive officer Richard Fraiman had revealed news of the win and sent his congratulations.

The hotel will now receive a logo to use on its website, along with an Editor's Choice certificate. It is also invited to The Good Food Guide's stand at the Independent Hotel Show taking place at Olympia in London this Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Jesmond hotel is currently looking ahead to Christmas with plans for a Festive Afternoon Tea, starting on December 3, and an extra set menu to enjoy within an environment of "sparkling decorations, log fires and the scent of pine needles".

It also will be hosting a Christmas Market on December 11 featuring food, drink, craft and boutique-store stalls and tickets, £6, will include a mulled wine upon arrival. For more information see here and for more about The Good Hotel Guide see here.
