MIDDLE EAST MATTERS © FRANCE 24

Tensions in Jerusalem reach a fever pitch, as the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close. Israel's army chief has ordered troop reinforcements to the south of the country, after rockets were fired from Gaza. The barrage of rockets from Hamas came following clashes which broke out between Palestinians and Israeli security personnel at the Al-Aqsa mosque compound. Our correspondent Sally Farhat reports.
