Jersey from Michael Jordan's last postseason auctioned off

A Michael Jordan game-worn jersey from the 1998 playoffs sold for $168,000 through Goldin Auctions on Thursday night.

Jordan scored 35 points and had 11 rebounds in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Hornets, which the Bulls won 83-70 on May 3, 1998. The Bulls went on to win the series 4-1 and ultimately the last of Jordan's six championships.

A Goldin Auctions spokesperson said the autographed, size 50 jersey had a opening bid of $25,000 and jumped from $80,000 to $168,000 in the span of three minutes on Thursday.

A Kris Bryant jersey also sold through Goldin on Wednesday, going for $21,600. Bryant wore it when on May 11, 2015, when he hit his first Wrigley Field home run, off Jacob deGrom. The Cubs star signed his name and marked the occasion in silver Sharpie on his number, 17.
