Jersey City shooting: Video shows moment suspects open fire on Kosher market

This is the horrifying moment two of the Jersey shooting killers open fire on a Kosher supermarket.

The 50-second video shows the gunmen storming the shop after a van pulls into a parking space.

The driver, identified by authorities as David Anderson, 47, leaves the vehicle and points a rifle as he runs across the street while bystanders flee the scene.

His accomplice, named as 50-year-old Francine Graham, soon follows.

The shooters killed six people during Tuesday's attack.

Jersey mayor Steven Fulop fears they deliberately targeted the Kosher supermarket in an act of anti-Semitism.

Schools were on lockdown after the two shooters went on a rampage and engaged in a four-hour gunfight with police.

The violence began after noon on Tuesday in the heart of Jersey City, the state's second-largest municipality directly across the Hudson River from Lower Manhattan, prompting law enforcement to swarm the area.

At least one police officer was killed after being shot in the head.

Investigators believe the two suspects acted alone, officials said.

Mayor Fulop tweeted: "Based on our initial investigation (which is ongoing) we now believe the active shooters targeted the location they attacked. Due to an excess of caution the community may see additional police resources in the days/weeks ahead. We have no indication there are any further threats."

He added: :To stop hate + anti-semitism we need to call it out QUICKLY for what it is. Some will say don’t call it anti-semitism or a hate crime till a longer review but being Jewish myself + the grandson of holocaust survivors I know enough to call it what this is."

A police officer was said to have approached suspects in a cemetery after reports of a homicide and was shot in the head.
