Jerry West talks beef between Bulls’ Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen

The Chicago Bulls are one of the best franchises in the league, and it’s largely thanks to Michael Jordan, who, alongside Scottie Pippen, dominated an entire decade of NBA basketball. The duo won six championships in eight seasons in the 1990s, destroying any other team that got in their way.

However, in recent years, the relationship between the two stars has taken a turn for the worst. Ever since the release of “The Last Dance,” a documentary about Jordan, the Bulls, and their last season together as a dynasty, things have gotten ugly. Most recently, Pippen tore into Jordan, calling him “a horrible player.”

During a recent appearance on “Podcast P with Paul George,” NBA Hall-of-Famer Jerry West weighed in on the beef, admitting he doesn’t understand what happened with the two stars. (H/t Fadeaway World)

“Well, obviously, I know Michael well, but I don’t know Scottie that well. I don’t. But he’s always been very pleasant and very nice to me,” West said. “And I admired him tremendously as a player. He got better every year. He wasn’t somebody that just fell off a cliff. He was a really good player… If you look at a team [like the 1990s Bulls], you would think that those guys like that would have the most special relationship in the world. I just haven’t understood that [the beef].”

Obviously, the memories Jordan and Pippen gave to Bulls fans will live on forever, but at this point, their personal relationship may be beyond repair.
