Jerry Jones receives Hall of Fame ring, loud ovation from Cowboys fans

ARLINGTON, Texas _ Cowboys owner Jerry Jones received his Ring of Excellence during halftime of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium.

Jones, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in July, stood next to his Hall of Fame bust on a stage at midfield along with wife Gene during the ceremony. A representative from the Hall of Fame presented Jones with his Hall of Fame ring.

"I want to thank my family," Jones said after receiving his ring. "What I've tried to do with every breath is to make the Dallas Cowboys better, and to make the NFL better. That's what I try to do and that's what I'm going to do," Jones said to a loud ovation.

Former Cowboys Hall of Famers Tony Dorsett (Class of 1994), Michael Irvin (2007), Bob Lilly (1980), Mel Renfro (1996), Emmitt Smith (2010), Roger Staubach (1985), Randy White (1994) and Rayfield Wright (2006) were on hand for the presentation.
