Jerry Jones Ranks Thanksgiving Win Over Commanders As One of Top Cowboys Moments

Jerry Jones has been the owner of the Cowboys since 1989, winning three Super Bowl titles since then.

Yet, the 81-year-old ranked Thursday’s annual Cowboys game on Thanksgiving vs. the Commanders as one of the top moments in his career with the team thus far. It should be noted that the Cowboys dominated and won 45–10 as the Commanders never really stood a chance to beat Dallas at home.

“I don’t know that I’ve had a day like this,” Jones said after the game, via The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “And I’ll include them all, I’ll put Super Bowls in there, I don’t know if I’ve ever had a better day with the Cowboys than today.”

Jones also said he thinks this year’s Cowboys team could go all the way to the Super Bowl, a feat they haven’t accomplished since winning the 1995 Super Bowl. Quarterback Dak Prescott has never made it past the divisional round of the playoffs.

The Cowboys moved to 8–3 on the season following Thursday’s win.
