FRISCO, Texas _ The Dallas Cowboys have opened their doors to the Houston Texans, and are letting them dictate how they want to handle Thursday's preseason finale.
The game has been moved to Arlington's AT&T Stadium from Houston's NRG Stadium because the remnants of Hurricane Harvey left the Houston area flooded.
Owner Jerry Jones made it clear that it's the Texans game during his radio show on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday. Therefore, the Texans are deciding how they want to handle the ticket process and announcements are expected soon.
"I do want to emphasize that they should be the decision-makers because it's their game," Jones said. "We're technically providing the stadium. And as would have it, we will probably provide a lot of the fans. But we look at it as totally separate from what we would have done from the Cowboys and we're very sensitive to the fact that those players and those coaches, everybody involved here haven't seen any of their families or any of their loved ones since this tragedy took place.
"There was some debate as to whether or not to play the game, and now there is no debate. We are going to play the game. Houston will tell us this morning how they want to do the tickets. And I want to save any announcements they make relative to not only the pricing on the ticket but what also might be in store for those involved in the game. But that will be up to them to make that announcement. But to be real succinct, we're obviously going to really have the game.
"We hope to have magnificent attendance if for no other reason than to support the victims down there in Houston. We'll wait and see what that announcement is. I do not have the availability and where to get the tickets."
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday.
