Jerry Jeudy could have a big game in his Broncos debut

Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton (shoulder) is officially listed as questionable on Denver’s injury report for Week 1.

If Sutton is unable to play against the Titans on “Monday Night Football,” it will mean even more reps for first-round draft pick Jerry Jeudy. Sutton would likely be limited if he does play so Jeudy appears poised to have a big role on offense either way.

“He was going to be part of the plan anyway,” offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur said of Jeudy on Friday. “Let’s say Courtland doesn’t make it for whatever reason, the whole group has to share the load. That’s the way it’s always been and always will be.

“These kinds of things are part of our game, so they have to be ready to go. We’re preparing him to play anyway, so he may just have to take a few more snaps. Other guys will fill in as well.”

If Sutton doesn’t play, Tim Patrick will likely serve as the No. 1 WR with Jeudy playing across from him. Jeudy will get plenty of action vs. Tennessee and he could be headed for a breakout game in his NFL debut.
