Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been hailed as "world class" after helping Arsenal to victory against Newcastle United in their opening Premier League game of the season.
The Gabonese striker netted his 33rd goal in the Premier League on his 50th appearance in the top flight for the Gunners , with his second half strike proving to be the difference between the two sides at St James' Park.
But former Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder Jermaine Jenas said it was not just his goal, but his movement that caused problems for his old side.
“He was world class I thought, Aubameyang, at times today," Jenas said, speaking as a pundit on BBC programme Match of the Day 2.
"[Jamaal] Lascelles wants to get close, but he is scared about the run in behind. He gives him a yard, and at this point, he is at Aubameyang’s mercy, and it was a great strike, and almost a goal.

“It was those type of movements that caused Newcastle problems at times. You have all these guys making runs and for the goal, here he is, he is clinical, and 33 goals in 50 games, he has been absolutely brilliant. And what a start for him."
Meanwhile, Jenas said that Aubameyang was not the only Arsenal player to cause Newcastle problems in the north east, with the ex-England international also praising several other players.
“I thought in the first 45 minutes Newcastle played well and they were good value at that point," he said.
“But I thought that in the second half, Arsenal took complete control and they struggled to deal with that threat of [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang, [Joe] Willock and [Henrikh] Mkhitaryan brought to the table.
“The defensive three of Newcastle were caught a bit flat and Arsenal found it easy to get in behind them.
“Yes, they got away with one, but look at this from Willock, he loses the ball and gets back and goes and wins it, that’s the desire of having youth in the team and that’s what I like about what Unai Emery has done.
“Every time Mkhitaryan picked up the ball in these positions, he caused them problems."
