Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has expressed his concern for Chelsea in the hunt for a top-four finish ahead of the Premier League's finale on Sunday.
The Blues host Wolves at Stamford Bridge, knowing that a point would be enough to secure another season in the Champions League and their spot will also be secured if Manchester United beat Leicester City.
However, should the Foxes get a result against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side and Chelsea suffer defeat to Wolves, Frank Lampard's side would slip out of the top-four.
While there are a lot of permutations surrounding the final day, Jenas is concerned that it is not beyond the realm of possibility that they miss out.
“Not an easy side to beat? This is potentially the worst side you could have come up against at home to need to win. Wolves, they’re defensively solid, they’re quite happy to sit in, they’ve got speed up top, you’re already fragile at the back as a team," he told BBC Radio 5Live.
“If I was Frank Lampard, I would have preferred to be playing against Manchester United or Leicester because Wolves are so dangerous.
"There’s potentially an issue there, it’s not beyond the realms of what could happen because Wolves are a tough side.
“They’re not the type of side that will turn up and think that they will just accept sixth and it’s not guaranteed either, they need it to continue their quest in playing in Europe on a regular basis."
