Jermaine Jenas makes Jose Mourinho prediction that will please Tottenham supporters

Jermaine Jenas has predicted that Jose Mourinho will change his approach in the coming weeks in order to establish better defensive stability for Tottenham.

The Lilywhites have kept just one clean sheet in their last 11 matches in all competitions, which has affected their push for a top-four finish and Champions League football next season.

As a result, Jenas believes that Mourinho's tactics will change over the course of upcoming games with a style that may be perceived to be a 'little bit more boring'.

“It’s definitely something he needs to focus on moving forward. I think that initially coming in, he’s thought this is a team that can score a lot of goals and outscore teams,” he told BT Sport.

“In recent weeks that has not worked out so I envisage that from that Southampton game, that will have been the last straw for Jose and he would have thought ‘you know what, enough is enough, this defending is not good enough’.

“This is something that I can see moving forward where Spurs might become a little bit more boring over the next couple of weeks just to stop the rot in terms of the goals that are going in.”

Tottenham face Premier League leaders Liverpool at home next weekend, before a trip to Watford the week after.
