Jermaine Beckford has proclaimed Leeds United are his favourite club in a glowing tribute to the Whites.
The former striker enjoyed some memorable times at Elland Road after moving to the Whites from non-league Wealdstone in 2006.
He netted 71 goals in 126 league appearances for the Whites, also scoring the winner in the famous FA Cup win over Manchester United, before moving to Everton in 2010.
Despite going on to play for the likes of Leicester City, Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End, Beckford never achieved the same prolificness he had at the Whites.
When asked on talkSPORT which of his former clubs was his favourites, Beckford gave no doubts with his reply.
He said: "Leeds United.
"Once I got a taste of it, it was very difficult for me to say anything other than that it's a phenomenal place.
"I was treated so well there and to see the passion that every single one of the fans has got, it's phenomenal.
"They also helped me to learn and to grow as a person as well.
"I was quite immature when I first went there but all the people behind the scenes, from the guys at the security gate, all the way through to the girls in the kitchen, to the kit men, who I'm incidentally still really good friends with now.
"They've all helped me to learn and grow as a person.
"Without those guys I wouldn't be who I am today."
