Jermaine Beckford highlights Leeds United's three difference makers in promotion quest

Jermaine Beckford believes Leeds United can not afford to lose Kiko Casilla, Ben White or Kalvin Phillips this season.

The trio have been instrumental in the Whites’ impressive form so far this season, helping their side to open up an 11-point gap over third place in the Championship following their win over Hull on Tuesday night.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are well placed to mount another push for promotion after being beaten by Derby County in last season’s play-offs - and Beckford believes the trio could be the difference between the club securing promotion.

“I don’t think they can live without any of them to be honest,” Beckford replied when asked about the prospect of Bielsa’s side playing without one of the trio on Sky Sports.

“All of them have been amazing players for Leeds this season and everything seems to start from those three guys.

“I think they are going to be the difference between making it to the Premier League and not making it.”

Leeds currently sit top of the table, but could be leapfrogged by West Bromwich Albion tonight as the Baggies look to make it seven straight wins themselves as they host Wigan Athletic, and return to action against Cardiff at Elland Road on Saturday.
