Jermain Defoe's Rangers performances don't match Alfredo Morelos' physical threat - Back Page Football Show

It was a big weekend in the Scottish Premiership as Hearts came from behind to shock Rangers at Tynecastle.

With Celtic beating Ross County that means the gap at the top of the table now stands at five points, though Steven Gerrard's side still have a game in hand.

On the latest Back Page Football Show, Jonny McFarlane was joined by Fraser Wilson and Liam Bryce and of course the big topic of discussion was that shock result at Tynecastle and the performance of Defoe.

After some brief confusion over how to pronounce his name, Fraser said: "There were at least two or three occasions where it's played over the top, Defoe's clear through and he's just not got the legs to carry him into the box.

"That would have been a serious frustration for Steven Gerrard and the Rangers fans.

"With the physical threat of Alfredo Morelos I think they may well have taken a few of those opportunities."

Elsewhere there was discussion of another excellent Odsonne Edouard showing for the league leaders, and the growing unhappiness with Derek McInnes from some Aberdeen fans.
