Jermain Defoe's brilliant Rangers gesture as he makes young fan's day after hat-trick

Rangers fans have grown to love Jermain Defoe during his 10 months at the club so far.

One young fan has even more reason to love him after the front man picked her out after the game to present her with his shirt and the match ball after his hat-trick.

The veteran was in great form as he fired Rangers to the top of the table and it was his second hat-trick of the season after getting one against Hibs back in August.

It takes him on to nine goals in the Premiership this campaign and 12 in all competitions.

But it's Amber Smith, who was at the game with her dad Derek, who will have the best memories of it after being handed the memento.

The brilliant gesture surely capped off a fine day for the young Rangers fan, after seeing her side rout Hamilton Accies with an emphatic 5-0 victory.

Amber was able to enjoy a chat with the former England striker and have a few pictures taken on the pitch at Ibrox with the 36-year-old.

Rangers will be back in action on October 20 against Hearts, after the international break has ended.
