Grateful Jermain Defoe has issued a message of thanks to Rangers after earning special recognition for hitting 300 club goals.
His clinical finish in the 4-0 weekend title party rout over Aberdeen ensured another career milestone ticked off for the veteran striker.
Defoe was presented with a commemorative award at Rangers ' Player of the Year ceremony on Monday night.
The 38-year-old, however, admits he'd have happily given up half those goals in exchange for Steven Gerrard 's side finally reclaiming the Premiership crown.

He wrote in an Instagram post: “I was privileged to receive this special award from our wonderful club for scoring 300 career goals.
“I said last night, I’d have sacrificed half those goals to win 55. WATP.”
Seven of Defoe's 300 came this season as he settled into an impact sub role he could yet take on again next term.
The former Tottenham and England forward's deal expires this summer but he's expressed a desire to sign on for another campaign.
Talks over an extension are believed to be ongoing.
