Jeremy Vine sworn at by angry Bentley driver as he's called a 'd**k' in road rage video

Jeremy Vine has shared a video of him being confronted by an angry Bentley driver on a road in Kensington.

In the clip the BBC Radio 2 presenter, 57, is branded a 'd**k' by the furious motorist after he overtook the TV and radio personality, who was seen cycling on the road.

Jeremy, who regularly updates his social media followers with videos of altercations with drivers, films his commutes to and from work as he wears a camera on top of his helmet.

The footage shows Jeremy cycling while a white Bentley is seen driving behind him and tooting his horn.

The car, which Jeremy estimated is worth around £200,000, then overtakes the cycling presenter before going up close to two other cyclists on the road, in a move which Jeremy described as "completely and utterly pointless on a 20mph road without any cycle lane".

As the convertible car pulls up to a set of traffic lights Jeremy stops beside the vehicle and the man winds his window down and accuses the TV star of being in the wrong lane.

Jeremy tells the motorist: "Ooo you're quite a dangerous driver mate," who then hits back with: "You're in the wrong lane! Why aren't you in that lane," and points to the left side of the road.

Jeremy then writes on top of the clip: "1. There isn't a segregated cycle lane anywhere in Kensington. 2. On this road, there isn't even a painted one. 2. Even if there was, he can't bully other road users into it."

He then asks the driver: "Why do you think you've got a right to go ahead of me just because you're in a car?

"Because you deliberately went in front of me and in the wrong lane," the driver says, hitting back. "Get in the b***dy cycle lane."

Jeremy responds: "What are you talking about? Why are you driving dangerously?"

The driver says: "I drive how I want. You don't own the road, believe it or not."

The radio presenter then asks: "What do you mean you drive how you want? What do you mean by that?"

As the light turns green, the driver winds his window down before telling Jeremy: "My name's Paul and you're a d**k," before speeding off.

Jeremy continues to cycle along the road before he was greeted by another cyclist who asks him of the driver: "Are you going to report him?"

"Do you think I should," Jeremy asks before adding: "He's a bad driver."

The cyclist then adds: "I saw him jumping a red light."

Jeremy says: "Yeah, I'll take a look at that. He's a nasty guy!"

The clip then cuts to a horror-film style footage as Jeremy writes on top: "This is why Kensington scares the bejeebers out of me on my bike." [sic]

He then cut to another clip of the Bentley driving close to him from behind and in writing, urges: "Please be a little kinder to people on bicycles – we won't hold you up for man than a few seconds."

As he tweeted the footage, Jeremy wrote: "This Bentley driver in Kensington — I'm shocked. Basically if you disobey his imaginary rules of the road, he will punish you.

"The horn behind me was the first sign. A Bentley convertible retails at about £200k so I thought he might be a little more gracious to lesser mortals."
