Hundreds of complaints have been sent to Ofcom following Mike Parry’s comments on Jeremy Vine’s Channel 5 show.
Mr Parry caused shock to both views and his co-panellists when he said that minorities need to be “squashed down”.
The comments came during a debate on the Insulate Britain Protestors on the M25

The Mirror reports that 383 complaints have been received by the regulatory body following the segment, during which Mr Parry said: “The problem in this country in all areas is that minorities always get the upper hand because we're so tolerant,”
Emphasising his point by slamming his hand on the desk, he continued: “And minorities have to be squashed like that!”
Mr Parry’s comments were met with disgust from fellow panellist and journalist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, who said: “Oh my god” and suggested the TalkRADIO host should ‘go and live in China.’
A shocked Jeremy Vine tried to diffuse the situation by saying “I don’t want to do too much squashing of minorities on a Friday”, but Mr Parry’s comments were enough for almost 400 people to complain to Ofcom.
Viewers flocked to Twitter to comment after the comments.
One tweeted: "WTF! 'Minorities have to be squashed, like that!' #JeremyVine."
While another wrote: "This is unbelievable- Mike Parry: 'The problem in this country, in all areas, is that the minorities always get the upper hand cos we’re so tolerant & minorities have to be squashed, like that!'"
