Jeremy Renner laughs off horror accident that broke over 30 bones with Avengers co-star

Jeremy Renner has laughed off the horrific accident that broke over 30 bones in his body with the help of his Avengers co-stars.

The Hollywood star is currently still recovering in hospital after being crushed by a snow plough and is lucky to be alive.

Jeremy, 52, has been sharing updates with his fans via Instagram on his condition after the shocking incident left him fighting for his life in a critical condition.

Despite his devastating injuries the Hawkeye actor has remained remarkably upbeat about his health as he works through his recovery.

His latest post saw him laying in a hospital bed as a physiotherapist puts him through his paces stretching and bending the limb.

Explaining the image and thanking his fans, family and friends for their support he wrote: "Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years... Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love.

"I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I... Much love and appreciation to you all. These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens.

"Love and blessings to you all."

Keeping their on-screen team spirit alive it wasn't long before fellow Avenger Chris Evans - who fans will know as the former Captain America/Steve Rogers - commented to show his support.

He posted: "That’s one tough mf’er. Has anyone even checked on the snowcat??? Sending so much love."

Enjoying the joke Jeremy shared a laughing emoji as he replied: "Love you brother... I did check on the snowcat, she needs fuel."

Marvel's Thor actor Chris Hemsworth then shared his well wishes posting: "Your a champion mate! We love you."

Crossing the comics border DC Universe Aquaman star Jason Momoa offered "all our aloha" to Jeremy in his health woes.

Jeremy was rushed to hospital on New Years Day after a 14,000lb SnowCat crushed him as he attempted to free a vehicle stuck in the snow near his Lake Tahoe ranch in Nevada.

The vehicle began rolling when Jeremy stepped out to speak to a family member and as he made an attempt to get back into the driver's seat he fell underneath the plough causing blunt force chest trauma and orthapaedic crush injuries.

He was eventually airlifted to hospital after being stabilised by first responders where he immediately underwent an emergency life saving surgery.

His sister, Kym Renner, recently told People: "We are so thrilled with his progress. If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn't mess around. He is crushing all the progress goals. We couldn't feel more positive about the road ahead."
