Jeremy Kyle's 'most hated guest' blasts 'lowlife' TV host - and wants him prosecuted

A man who was portrayed as Jeremy Kyle's "most hated guest" and went on to attempt to take his own life is calling on the rogue TV presenter to be prosecuted.

The Jeremy Kyle Show was cancelled in May after the apparent suicide of guest Steve Dymond, 63, who'd appeared on the programme just days earlier over a lie detector test.

The unedited clips, which were shown to the Commons' Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, show the host using "demeaning and insulting language" and "denigrating" a woman by quizzing her about her sexual history.

ITV Studios was accused on Thursday of "corporate failure of responsibility" following the death of Mr Dymond.

Another video featured Kyle, 54, teaching the studio audience how to boo.

Now another guest, Dwayne Davison, who appeared on the show five years ago, has described Jeremy as a "lowlife and a bully" and is demanding he faces the consequences of his actions.

He said the stigma as a result of appearing on the programmed had cost him his job and negatively impacted his mental health as a result of abuse he received on social media.

It resulted in him attempting to take his own life last year.

Dwayne, 28, told the Sun: "He was at the centre of all this hatred and he revelled in it. He's worse than any of these people he's accused of being villains.

"He deserves to be prosecuted - the man has incited so much hatred, it is despicable."

MPs on the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, who are investigating The Jeremy Kyle Show, had been shown unedited clips that were never broadcast.

In them, Kyle goaded and swore at guests and continued the abuse off stage. He called a guest a "gobs****" and "slouching little idiot".

ITV has assured the public that the show won't be returning.

A statement said: "ITV cancelled The Jeremy Kyle Show in May. We have since made it clear that we will not bring back The Jeremy Kyle Show, or any other show resembling its format."

It said it "cannot comment" on accusations based on footage the Select Committee has not shared with ITV.

The chair of the Committee, Damian Collins, said on Thursday: "It is clear that once the cameras started rolling on The Jeremy Kyle Show there was no safe space for anyone in a highly-distressed state, verified by the behind-the-scenes footage passed to the committee by a whistleblower.

"We've also seen how Jeremy Kyle would use provocative, and sometimes abusive language, towards participants in the show, and that this could be edited out of the broadcasted show.

"What we've seen demonstrates a failure on the part of ITV Studios in its responsibility towards contributors and makes a mockery of the aftercare it has claimed to provide."
