Jeremy Kyle bosses to face grilling by MPs at inquiry after host refuses to appear

MPs are to press ahead this week with an inquiry into the axed Jeremy Kyle show despite the star’s refusal to appear.

The Digital, Culture Media and Sport Select Committee will now question executive producer Tom McLennan and the show’s aftercare boss Graham Stanier.

The probe into reality shows was launched after the suspected suicide of guest Steve Dymond, 63, from Portsmouth, who failed a lie detector test about his alleged love cheating.

Kyle, 53, could face sanctions for refusing to appear before MPs.

But committee chair Damian Collins said: “We will be pursuing this matter with his representatives to fully understand the reasons why he has declined.

“We’ll start our inquiry by questioning the leaders of ITV.”
