Jeremy Kyle and Sharon Osbourne celebrate finding new telly home after disgraced past

Jeremy Kyle and Sharon Osbourne looked in high spirits as they celebrated returning to the airwaves – after both being fired from their lucrative TV jobs.

Former ITV talk show king Jeremy, 56, looked glass eyed as he emerged from TalkTV’s central London studios after appearing on screens for the first time in three years.

He joined 69-year-old Sharon on their new talk show – titled The Talk – which sees the duo making their television return after Sharon was let go from the panel of a US show and after The Jeremy Kyle Show was cancelled following the death of one of his guests.

Both Jezza and Shazza left their previous jobs under clouds of shame – but both were beaming after they appeared on screens on Monday night and after celebrating with a few glasses of red wine.

A source said: “Jeremy was seen for the first time on TV in four years after his first night on TalkTV’s new TV show along with Sharon Osbourne.

“After the show, Jeremy was seen enjoying a few glasses of red wine along with Sharon.

“Jeremy was all smiles as he left the TV studios in London and gave the thumbs up in his car.

“Shortlists afterwards, Sharon was seen leaving in high spirits and was sticking her tongue out as she got in her car.”

The Talk airs on TalkTV at 9pm and runs for one hour, but it was 11:30pm before the pair were seen emerging to catch their waiting cars after the show and following drinks.

The Talk is described as: “Join Sharon Osbourne, Jeremy Kyla and a panel of opinionated famous faces from the worlds of politics, showbiz, business and current affairs to debate the hot topics everybody’s talking about.”

Sharon was a regular panellist on American talk show, The Talk, where she featured as a talking head from 2010 until 2021.

However, she departed the series under a cloud of controversy following allegations that she had made racist comments on air.

An argument erupted between Sharon and her panellists when she defended Piers Morgan over his controversial comments about Meghan Markle after she appeared in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Sheryl Underwood asked her at the time: “I would really like to know, what would you say to people who say that, while you’re standing by your friend, it appears that you give validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist, even if you don’t agree?”

This prompted Sharon to hit back: “Educate me, tell me when you have heard him say racist things.

"I very much feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend, who many people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist?”

She quit the show soon after.

Jeremy famously hosted his own ITV talk show from 2005 until May 2019 when the series was axed in light of the death of a show guest.

Steve Dymond took his own life at the age of 63 after recording an episode of the show which never aired but reportedly included him taking a lie detector test.

A coroner's report issued in November 2020 stated that "acts or omissions" by Jeremy "may have caused or contributed to" Dymond's death.

The show was cancelled six days after news of Mr Dymond’s death was first reported.
