Jeremy Kyle accuses Harry and Meghan of 'dodgy' motives over Archie and Lilbet's titles

Jeremy Kyle has offered his thoughts on the latest royal row - accusing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of having ulterior motives regarding their childrens' titles.

The TalkTV presenter sensationally claimed "it's all about the cash" when it comes to the couple's family decisions and slammed the pair for "using every damn thing" they can to boost their bank balance.

Discussing the recent news the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's daughter was christened Princess Lilibet Diana earlier this month, Jeremy discussed the latest piece of royal gossip with three guests on his TalkTV show this evening.

As one commentator explained how Princess Lilibet and her brother Prince Archie could have possibly had their titles confirmed a long time ago, Jeremy mused if Harry and Meghan's recent statement was deliberately timed to cause drama before the King's coronation.

"They're dodgy - it's always about timing with them. Why now? It's always a game with them," the former ITV presenter ranted on his show this evening.

"Why are they so keen all of a sudden [to announce Archie and Lilibet's titles]?"

He later went on to claim: "It's all about the cash. It's about the brand - it's about using every damn thing they can to [boost their profile] and it stinks!"

Harry and Meghan released a statement on regarding their children's titles overnight, after confirming their daughter was baptised on Friday as Princess Lilibet Diana earlier this month.

The christening took place privately at the Sussexes’ home in California with around 20 to 30 people in attendance for the celebration.

A spokesman for the couple said: "The children's titles have been a birthright since their grandfather became Monarch. This matter has been settled for some time in alignment with Buckingham Palace."

The royal family’s official website has been changed to reflect that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children will use the titles prince and princess.

Archie and Lilibet are now listed as Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's spokesman said: “I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor.”

Previously they featured on the line of succession page as Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Miss Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor.
