Jeremy Hunt has pleaded with TV and radio presenters to stop calling him “Jeremy C***”.
Broadcasters repeatedly mix up his surname with the extremely rude word for female sex organs - and the Foreign Secretary has had enough.
The 52-year-old told a newspaper he has suffered decades of abuse, including at his posh private school, Charterhouse.
He said: “I’m used to it. I had this when I was at school.
“Personally I think people should just grow up and get over the fact that my last name rhymes with a rather unpleasant word.”
Presenters from Sky News, the BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5 have all mispronounced his name.
On Tuesday’s Victoria Derbyshire show, she used the c-word live on air, saying: “You say that the man you’re backing, Jeremy C*** ...”
She squirmed: “I’ve never said that before in my life - it’s usually men who say that, so I really want to apologise. I’m sorry.”
